Burn Camp

Missouri Children's Burn Camp
A special and unforgettable summer camp experience, filled with swimming, games, and songs, await children who have experienced a burn injury.

It is not uncommon for children recovering from burn injuries to experience isolation, rejection, loneliness and frustration.  Missouri Children's Burn Camp provides children and teens with a safe and supportive environment to heal with other burn survivors while having fun and creating new friendships and lasting memories. Children return from Camp with a renewed spirit,  greater sense of independence, and increased self-esteem.

Camp is available for children ages 6-17 years old, who have sustained a burn injury and live in Missouri. Children who reside outside of Missouri, but who were treated at a Missouri burn unit/center may also attend. Children treated and residing outside of Missouri will be consid-ered on an individual basis. Camp is held the first week of August. Transportation is provided from anywhere in Missouri. Applications are available in March.

There is no fee for children to attend Missouri Children's Burn Camp.
