Juvenile Firesetters

Youth Fire Prevention Team
The Youth Fire Prevention Team is a juvenile firesetter intervention program. This comprehensive program starts with a phone call by you, reporting the name and contact information for a child with the problem of “playing with fire”. Once BRSG is contacted a PEICO member will contact the family, within 48 hours, to set an appointment for an intake interview. The results of this interview will then lead to the next step.

After it has been ascertained that the child needs to become part of the YFPT program, the child and a parent/guardian will begin a 4-week program involving classroom videos and discussion, safety education, special speakers, homework assignments and upon graduation a community service commitment
