Holiday
Party:
Mark your calendars for the first Saturday
in December and come celebrate the holidays with BRSG
at the Shrewsbury Civic Center in Saint Louis.
More than one hundred people attend the fun
and games. BRSG provides the food, beverages, and entertainment.
BRSG members bring scrumptious appetizers and desserts. Every
year, we've made it a tradition to end the day with a spirited
game of Bingo.
Bowling Party:
The BRSG annual Bowling Party is a fun filled
afternoon for everyone! Over 60 people annually attend this
family event. Every year, families and friends look forward
to spending time together and having a lot of laughs.
BRSG supplies the bowling shoes, beverages,
food and, of course the bowling. This event is usually held
on the first Saturday in March. We hope you'll join us. The
friendly folks at Hazelwood Bowl make sure that everyone has
a wonderful afternoon!
Annual
Picnic:
The BRSG Family Picnic, held each year in
May at Howdershell Park, is a fantastic way for fam-ily and
friends to spend the day playing ball, tennis, basketball,
or hiking.
The park has a large playground area for young
children. Some members play horseshoes.
BRSG provides the beverages and barbecue. We ask that
our guests bring an appetizer, side dish, or dessert.
Parade:
Asst. Chief Eric Kiehl of the Hazelwood Fire
Department has two antique fire trucks. Eric loves to put
the trucks in parades and BRSG members love to ride on top
of the trucks in as many as four parades a year.
It has become a tradition to ride the trucks
in parades in May at the Florissant Valley of the Flowers,
July brings two parades - the VP Fair Parade and the Bridgeton
July 4th Parade and then in September there is the Great Fire
Engine Rally. Of course, it is always exciting when Eric gets
to take home trophies for his fire trucks which are kept in
well-cared-for condition.
